What makes Alexandria special is our mosaic of neighborhoods—each with its own unique character. Change shouldn’t mean surrendering that. I believe in your right to choose the kind of living that suits you. I will fight against uniform density across our neighborhoods so that future generations can enjoy a home of their own.

TRANSPARENCY

As your city councilor, I will hold town halls every week. I will hand you the mic for questions, not a ballpoint pen. If you can’t make it, I will respond to your email within 48 hours. What’s more, I will decline any “pay to play” invitations from developers that grant them special access denied to you.

PUBLIC SAFETY

As a former city magistrate, I’ve worked closely with our first responders. I will get more police in our neighborhoods by reassigning adminstrative duties to support staff. I will fight to maintain the highest standards for training our police and back that up with competitive salaries to retain them.

SMART SERVICES

I am dedicated to keeping our city running smoothly at all times. I’ll work hard to deliver results on smoother road surfaces and safe construction sites, prioritize repair of sidewalks and traffic lights, and prevent sunny-day flooding. And I’ll use smart signals at intersections to get traffic moving again.

GETTING AROUND

I believe in making our roads and streets safter. I will direct resources towards designing better crosswalks near schools and on major roads. I will advocate for increased traffic enforcement to tackle cut-through traffic. And I will fight for fair state and federal funding for our regional transit system.

SMALL BUSINESSES

I will aim to grow the small businesses that employ our local workforce. I will work towards securing grants and incentives that improve local competitiveness. And I want to get real about the impact of major development projects and construction hassles on small businesses and local residents.

SUSTAINABILITY

I will protect our natural environment by boosting tree canopy standards and conserving mature trees on city property. I will work to promote greater energy efficiency in our existing municipal buildings and bring more EV charging stations online.
